It’s no secret that I love being in the kitchen. I find it calming, almost therapeutic, to cook and bake the day away. Even though my husband helps me cook or whips up a few of his own specialties every now and then, we have a silent understand that the kitchen is my space. I keep it clean, organized, and know it like the back of my hand.

And one of the kitchen gadgets that gets used the most is my slow cooker. I love how convenient it is so just prep a meal and let the slow cooker finish the job.

And while I use it year round, I especially love it in the winter. There’s something comforting about spending a lazy Sunday at home and knowing that you’ll be treated to a warm and delicious dish later in the afternoon.

From stew and soups to chili, my slow cooker has seen it all. But there’s one area that I haven’t tested out yet…desserts! This has been on my bucket list for years, as I have hundreds of ideas floating around in my mind. Well, I’m happy to say that I finally took the plunge!

After much consideration, I decided to make a decadent and chocolate-y dessert. It’s a treat that will fill your taste buds with wonder and make you whip out your slow cooker all the time, just to make desserts!

Sounds wonderful, right?

The middle is almost like a lava center, oozing with a moist chocolate center. And because it takes just minutes to prepare, you can have this dessert ready in no time!

Did I mention that this Slow Cooker Chocolate Pudding Cake contains double the amount of chocolate? And that’s never a bad thing in my book! So let’s get down to the nitty gritty!

To prepare this cake, you need a few simple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen: chocolate pudding mix, milk, and dark chocolate cake mix (plus the ingredients to prepare the cake). Pretty simple, right?

To start, lightly spray your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Then pour the chocolate pudding mix in and add three cups of milk. Stir until combined. Then prepare the cake according to the packaged directions.

Once that is ready, carefully pour the cake mix over the chocolate pudding, being careful not to stir. Pop the lid on and cook on low for about 2 hours, or until the cake is firm.

Let cook for about ten minutes and then get ready to dig in.
