If there’s one thing I love in life, it’s a good cookie. I can’t even tell you how many times when I was younger where I would come home from school, set myself up at the kitchen island with a big glass of milk and stack of homemade chocolate chip cookies, and feast before starting my homework.
That perfect dipping of the cookies into the milk until they were juuust perfectly saturated was always a fun little mental game I played and man, don’t even get me started on Girl Scout cookie season. Thin mints were my jam!
On the note of Girl Scouts, you don’t escape the craze even in college. The rumor mill has been running like crazy up at my university that there are girl scouts selling boxes of cookies right outside of one of the largest and main lecture halls.
I think someone should give them a business degree! Those are some smart… cookies. And yes, I apologize for that terrible pun!

Now that I’m older, though, I’ve realized that eating 5 cookies a day probably isn’t the healthiest thing I can do for myself (surprise!) and have taken it upon myself to come up with more creative ways to get my cookie fix in while still being smart about my nutrients and what I’m putting into my body.
With the year-round warm weather I get here in California, I’ve been all about shakes and smoothies and thought that there would be no better way to satisfy my addiction that by making a blended recipe that incorporated one of my favorite flavor combos: cookies and cream!
While I try to keep a balanced diet, it can sometimes (read: especially) be hard to eat healthy in college. I’m surrounded by 24 hour Mexican food, partying, and the temptation to just stay in bed and order takeout because of the convenience.
This shake takes away all of that temptation because it takes literally only 3 minutes to make and it completely satisfies my sweet tooth! The combination of protein from the greek yogurt and milk helps keep me full so I’m not craving food as soon as I finish sipping.
I signed up for my first half-marathon a few weeks back and have been training ever since. I’ve been making this shake as a perfect refueling snack after my long runs and it helps me cool down while not weighing me down.
If you’re looking for a healthier alternative to your cookie addiction, I totally have you covered with this recipe!

To make this super simple recipe, simply combine all the ingredients into your trust blender, and blend away! This is one of my favorite grab-and-go recipes since I have a detachable blender that turns right into a cup that I can take along with my to class or down to the beach.
I always like to garnish it with cute straws and extra oreo crumb sprinkled on top since I’m definitely one of those people who eat with their eyes first.
And c’mon, who wouldn’t want to take a big sip out of this? Excuse me while I pass out over all the cookie goodness that’s present in this glass. *Swoon*.
- 5 oz nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt (I used Chobani)
- ½ cup light vanilla almond milk
- 6 ice cubes
- 4 tsp cookies and cream instant pudding mix
- oreo crumbs for garnish
- optional: if you like creamier smoothies, add in ½ a frozen banana!
- Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Serve cold!
