Shelf Life: 6 months
Benefits: Sugar scrubs help to soften hands by removing dead, dry skin cells and can actually help to reverse the signs of aging by improving circulation and bringing blood flow to the skin.
Olive oil is rich in vitamins and helps to moisturize the skin, while the lemon oil acts as a mild exfoliant to brighten the skin. Exfoliating and removing dead skin cells also helps skin to absorb more moisture from hand creams and lotions.
Tips and Tricks: Another great way to gently exfoliate hands is to juice a lemon and then rub the inside of the peel over your hands and around your nails.
Rub with lemon for a few minutes and then rinse under warm water. You’ll be amazed at how smooth your hands feel!
NOTE: For both options, avoid using if hands are overly dry or chapped, as this will cause further irritation.
Variations: You can sub coconut sugar for any other kind of sugar (white, brown, Demerara, etc.) You can sub olive oil for any carrier oil and lemon oil for any essential oils.
