Author: Nicole Leggio
Recipe type: Entree
Serves: 4
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 14 ounces chicken stock (plus more to loose sauce up if necessary)
- 2 cups skim milk
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 12 ounces angel hair pasta
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley
- In a large deep pot (big enough to add in angel hair), heat butter over a medium heat. Add in garlic, stir. Whisk in flour, cook for one minute.
- Add in warm chicken stock, milk, water and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Once the mixture comes to a boil, add in pasta, stir to make sure pasta doesn't stick together.
- Once the pasta is cooked and the sauce has thickened, turn the heat off. Add in parmesan cheese and parsley.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper, and if necessary add more chicken stock to loosen the sauce up.
