Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 14 ounces chicken stock (plus more to loose sauce up if necessary)
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces angel hair pasta
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley
Instructions
  1. In a large deep pot (big enough to add in angel hair), heat butter over a medium heat. Add in garlic, stir. Whisk in flour, cook for one minute.
  2. Add in warm chicken stock, milk, water and salt. Bring to a boil.
  3. Once the mixture comes to a boil, add in pasta, stir to make sure pasta doesn't stick together.
  4. Once the pasta is cooked and the sauce has thickened, turn the heat off. Add in parmesan cheese and parsley.
  5. Season to taste with salt and pepper, and if necessary add more chicken stock to loosen the sauce up.
